Bangkok - Enjoying a Sleep In

Our train today doesn't leave until 2pm so we get to have a sleep in and a slow start to the day which is nice. Sarah took our clothes down to a laundry mat that is only about 100m from our hotel. Good to be able to take advantage of that while here instead of washing things in the bathroom and waiting all day for them to dry. 

Just after 8.30am I head out to the bank to exchange our remaining USD for THB. 192 becomes 6,385. Kind of makes you feel richer for about 10 seconds until you think about the conversion fees. But it's a good way to top up our cash spending money. 

The laundry room is a success and we now have nice clean and dry clothes again. 140 Bhat is $7 well spent. Sarah is happy as she was completely out of certain unmentionables. I've obviously been better at bathroom washing duties than her. 😉

10am is brunch time. Two American breakfasts are the go to again. The combo of carbs, coffee, etc is hard to beat in terms of value. Walking back to the hotel thinking about putting the backpacks on and getting to the train is just slightly daunting in this muggy heat this morning. Slow and steady will be the key.
