Bangkok - Bonanza Breakfast and Shopping Mall

Wow that was the biggest selection of hotel breakfast options we have ever seen. Sarah took a video of it and still missed things and had to take an additional two videos. 😂 I stuck to the basics coffee, juice, bacon, egg, pancakes, muesli, and more coffee. Don't worry I'm sure lunch will be on the light side of things. 😉 They even had Pad Thai for breakfast!

After breakfast we walked over to a shopping centre called Central World. We had to cross a river waterway and found a bridge no problem but also found a dead end. Some back tracking required but got there in the end. The mall was massive. We wandered around but soon realised it was higher end shops with higher end prices not bargains. It also wasn't very busy. It was still good to have a look around. Watching the escalators from the top actually made me feel a bit queasy. See video, of the escalators not of me feeling queasy. 😂

We found a cheaper place across the road that was a big super market and Sarah bought a few items while I sat down and recovered from the escalators. Then we headed to the Palladium market which was bargain style shops and lots of them. Sarah was after some elephant pants to take home. She found some while I enjoyed another seat. I'm not much of a shopper. There were some really good prices and I could do with some new shorts but just couldn't be bothered with the shopping part. 😳

We slowly made our way back towards the hotel with me making one wrong turn and ending up on the wrong side of the busiest road. That meant an extra trip up and over the stairs but soon got back on track and navigated our way back to the hotel via a nearby 7 Eleven. It was time for a refreshing rooftop swim and then a beer and some snacks for lunch.
