Sometimes It's OK To Do Nothing

Well, maybe we didn’t do nothing, but it was definitely a day of not doing a lot.

Breakfast was followed by a walk on the one street in Orahovac that isn’t the main road. The street is only about 800 meters long, so we walked from the middle to one end, then to the other, and finally back to almost the middle. That brought us to the beach entrance — and we were ready for a morning swim.

Swim complete, it was coffee time and then some reading. The Norwegian weather forecasters were close, but not quite right. There were a clap or two of thunder last night but no rain. The thunder did set off Doggo the dog barking around 2 a.m., but that didn’t last long. As for rain, we did get a bit around 11 a.m., but it wasn’t heavy and didn’t stick around. They’re still saying we’ll get some tomorrow… but who knows? 🤔

After lunch, we spent a few hours doing some Plan A research and rough timing. We've now drafted the timing and places to visit, and we’ve got good options lined up for escaping the heat in August. Still more to look into and think through, but it's getting there.

There was also time for me to win a game of Five Crowns, which brings the score, I believe, to 6–2 — not in my favour. We haven’t played in a while, so maybe I’ve forgotten some of my other wins? 😂

Dinner tonight is spaghetti (because we still have some and don’t want to pack it in our bags), with sausages and sauce added. It doesn’t sound like much, does it? Probably because it’s all we could think of at the time. 😂 But it was actually really tasty.

After dinner we went down to the street we walked the length of this morning because I had seen online that there was a geocache hidden there. We then went to buy an ice cream from the little local shop. 

For anyone reading this who doesn't know what geocaching is: Geocaching It's a hobby I used to pursue a lot but haven't done so in recent years. Being in foreign places is a good opportunity to find a few.
